Privacy policy.

01 The short version

We collect very little. We do not sell anything about you to anyone. Purchases happen on Etsy, not here, so we never see or hold your payment details.

02 What this site collects

Analytics. We use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to see how many people visit, which pages they read, and roughly which country they came from. This is counted in groups, not tracked as individuals, and we do not use it to identify anyone.

The email list. If you join the Rootlyn letter, we store the address you give us so we can send it. Nothing else is required and nothing else is stored. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and using it removes you completely.

Messages you send. If you write to us through the contact page or by email, we keep the message so we can answer it and refer back if you write again.

Standard server records. Like every website, our host records basic technical information such as IP addresses and browser types for security and reliability. This is normal hosting activity and we do not use it for marketing.

03 Cookies

This site uses cookies only for analytics and for basic site function. There are no advertising cookies here, and we do not run ads. Your browser settings can block cookies if you prefer, and the site will still work.

04 Where purchases happen

Every Rootlyn product is sold through Etsy. When you click a shop link you leave this site, and Etsy's own privacy policy and terms apply from that moment. Your payment information is handled entirely by Etsy and never reaches us.

05 Other services we rely on

The site is hosted by Hostinger. Analytics come from Google. Email, once it is running, will be handled by an email service provider. Each of these companies processes some data on our behalf under their own policies.

06 Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us and we will do it. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, the UK GDPR and the GDPR give you these rights formally, and we honour them for everyone regardless of where they live, because it seems the decent way to run things.

07 Children

Rootlyn products are made for adults. This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen.

08 Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be explained plainly rather than buried.
